The role of vulcanizing agent

- Jul 11, 2017 -

Divided into inorganic and organic two broad categories. The first category has sulfur yellow, sulfur, selenium, tellurium and so on. The latter category has sulfur-containing promoter (such as promoter TMTD), organic peroxide (e.g. benzoyl peroxide), quinone oxime compound, poly-sulfur polymer, urethane derivative, etc.

The rubber vulcanizing agent includes elemental Sulphur, selenium, tellurium, sulfur compounds, peroxide, quinone compounds, amine compounds, resin compounds, metal oxides and isocyanate. The most common are elemental sulfur and sulfur-containing compounds.

The most common are elemental sulfur and sulfur-containing compounds. Its vulcanizing agent is harmful to people.

The common industrial Sulphur additive TMTD and tetd can produce carcinogenic N-nitro-dimethyl amine during vulcanization.

At present, the Platinum curing agent (low vulcanization temperature, fast curing speed) is used as vulcanizing agent of silicone rubber in some special products.

Vulcanizing agent applicable to all kinds of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, according to the needs of different vulcanizing agent varieties can be used.
