AKZO NOBEL's Largest Powder Coating Plant In The World Put Into Operation

AKZO NOBEL, the world's leading paint and coatings company, announced that its powder coating plant in Changzhou was officially put into operation. AN The new plant invested nearly 40 million euros and designed 46 thousand tons of capacity. It is the largest powder coating plant in the world by AN.

Changzhou coating base is the only diversified high performance coating production base of AN in China. The cross business processing ability of liquid coating and powder coating can more effectively support the needs of local customers. At the same time, the R & D team equipped with the new powder plant will work with AN Shanghai Technology Center for new product development and formulation performance improvement.

"China is our most important coating and paint market in the world, and the changing industry needs will help us to continue to optimize investment strategy and layout," AN executive member and Ruud Joosten, the chief operating officer, said. The new plant will inject new vitality into the Changzhou paint base and further consolidate the company's leading position in the global market for powder coatings. At the same time, we will focus more on the paints and coatings business and provide quality and sustainable solutions for Chinese customers.
